In Alice and Wonderland there are so many characters that are symbolic of something and I thought they would be perfect for tarot cards because of their symbolism. There are 22 cards in a deck and these are the ones I've gotten done so far. I might make a whole deck, there is enough characters.

Hope you do, this is so beautiful!! I was seeking for an Alice Tarot and couldn't find anything that comes even close to the feelings that i have thinking about wonderland. This is the first tarot that has the same beauty and is scary same time. Love it.

Fool, Magician, High Priestess, Empress, Emperor, Pope, Lovers, Chariot, Strength, Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, Devil, Star, Moon, Sun, Judgement, and World.
There are also 56 Minor Arcana cards in 4 suits:
Swords (Spades) (Wind): Ace-10, Lady, Knight, King, Queen
Cups (Hearts) (Water): Ace-10, Lady, Knight, King, Queen
Wands (Clubs) (Fire): Ace-10, Lady, Knight, King, Queen
Disks (Diamonds) (Earth): Ace-10, Lady, Knight, King, Queen
Look the whole thing up at Wiki on the off-chance that you don't know.
I sincerely recommend that you submit your design to some Tarot publishers, like U.S. Games or Lo Scarabeo.... I'd really love to see this ENTIRE deck in print. You got the characters and "Alice" ambiance right!
I also sincerely request that you tell me, either by my Twitter @DarkwingLady or to this account when you actually get this publish, for like Ms. Pape I'd like to buy this deck too. This would make a lovely gift for my pal Dee! ^^

ReplyDeleteDon't forget that you can always do scenery/scenarios/situations, even if you repeat characters. Like falling down the rabbit hole, for example. I would totally add this deck to my collection once finished. Good luck! If you need ideas, you can totally pick my brain :-)

I am having a real hard time finding a deck that i like let alone LOVE. From the looks of your cards shown here ARE PERFECT FOR ME! THEY HAVE EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE ON MY CHECKLIIST and SOOOO MUCH MORE. They have 5,000+ different kinds of tarot decks and holy cow a lot of them are very high priced. Lately my lifes been shit, not only has both my parents passed but my sister as well(i have no blood family left) mostly from the extreme D.V that i barely survived as a result i lost my only reason for existance(my kids)and i am trying to pick up the shattered disaster of whats left and between the PTSD and nightmares ive been trying to focus on the positive. Ive been trying avoid the intense suicidal urge with hobbies and Tarot cards is one i was really interested with i just couldnt find the right deck, UNTIL NOW(hopefully).
